Judging the Best of Congo Cooperatives competition was a reminder of just how much incredible coffee is coming out of Congo. Majirane stood out not only for its exceptional quality, but for the determination of the farmers who made this coffee possible.

Great Coffee Against the Odds

On the northwest shores of Lake Kivu, Cooperative Agricole Majirane brings together approximately 500 farmers producing exceptional washed coffees. Despite the immense challenges facing producers in Eastern Congo, the cooperative earned recognition at the Best of Congo Cooperatives competition, where we had the honor of serving as judges. Their coffee is a testament to the skill, resilience, and dedication of the people behind every harvest.
